As President of the F.I.C.C. – Fédération Internationale de Camping, Caravanning et Autocaravaning AISBL, it is with great pride and emotion that I pay this tribute of recognition to our dear Silvia Brohl, who has dedicated her talent and passion to this federation for exactly 40 years. Our “marriage” celebrates its ruby anniversary this year.

This public recognition is a thank you for her invaluable contribution to the F.I.C.C. and a demonstration of our gratitude for everything she has done. Her work is a fundamental pillar for our organization. The rigor, patience and wisdom with which she carries out each task are incomparable.

Over these 40 years, Silvia’s journey with us has been marked by a level of commitment and dedication that few can achieve. It is no coincidence that she is affectionately known as the “encyclopaedia with legs” or “Mrs. F.I.C.C.” – because, in fact, she knows everything about our history, our members, our challenges and, above all, the people who make up this organization.

Her encyclopaedic knowledge, combined with her tireless dedication and enthusiasm, has made her an indispensable part of the F.I.C.C. Her ability to resolve any issue, her memory for details and her deep respect for this institution have inspired generations of collaborators and members. More than just a collaborator, she is an example for us all.

Today we celebrate the extraordinary woman who marks the F.I.C.C. and also all our members who have and had the privilege of spending time with her during our rallies and events. Her contribution is etched in the pages of our Federation’s history.

Silvia, I would like to say a few words to you directly. I want you to know that it is an honour to work with you. Your patience, generosity and example have had a profound impact on me and on all those who have the privilege of knowing you. Not only do you teach us all with your knowledge on a wide range of subjects, but you also inspire us with every conversation.

We sincerely hope that you will continue to share your knowledge, experience and spirit with us for a long time to come, as it is difficult to imagine the F.I.C.C. without your light and invaluable contribution.
