World Camping Day (2025)

World Camping Day – 29 June 2025
Celebrate with us. Celebrate friendship and outdoor life.

On 29 June 2022, the F.I.C.C. (Fédération Internationale de Camping, Caravanning et Autocaravaning) celebrated the very first World Camping Day, with official recognition from UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization), which endorsed camping as one of the most current and meaningful forms of tourism today.

Now in its third year, World Camping Day continues to grow as a symbol of connection, sustainability, and joy for people of all ages and cultures.

Why 29 June?
This date is not random: it is the name day of the apostles Peter and Paul. Paul, also known as Paulus, was a tentmaker and, for his time, a world traveller. He represents the spirit of campers everywhere: practical, open-minded, adventurous, and deeply connected to nature and humanity. His story reflects the very roots of what it means to live and travel freely, in harmony with the world.

Camping: A Lifestyle and a Global Movement
From simple tents to modern caravans and motorhomes, camping has become a major force in tourism and leisure. It is a source of economic growth, a provider of jobs, and above all, a way of life that promotes sustainability, wellbeing, and community.

Camping brings people together, whether in local clubs, international rallies, or spontaneous moments around a campfire. It fosters friendship, peace, and understanding between cultures. It is a space where children, youth, adults and seniors can share the joy of the outdoors, regardless of background or social status.

2025 Celebrations
This year, World Camping Day will be celebrated officially in Trogir, Croatia, during the 25th Adria Camping Rally, a landmark event that brings together campers and caravanners from many countries.

F.I.C.C. encourages all its members, federations, and friends of the outdoors to mark this day, in big events or in small gatherings, by a lake, in a forest, or at your favourite camping spot.

Let’s celebrate together.
Let’s honour our love for nature.
Let’s build bridges of friendship across the world.
Celebrate with us. Celebrate friendship and outdoor life.
