First Class Freedom

Freedom. Movement. The great outdoors. Getting to know other cultures. International friendships… So many things which continue to attract an ever-growing number of holidaymakers. Whether they’re equipped with the minimum of luggage, a tent, a caravan or a motor caravan, all want to devote as much leisure time as possible to exploring a particular region. As well as being very affordable, Camping and Caravanning is also a rewarding human experience.

A “must” for campers…

Although free from the constraints of working life, campers and caravanners don’t forget civilized living. An oasis where they’ll find freedom, quality of life and security is central to their enjoyment.

… offered by members of the F.I.C.C.

A springboard to adventure, a place to meet like-minded people, any Camping Federation or Club which puts campers first will want to be sure of a level of hospitality which is tailor-made for them. A Federation or Club affiliated to the International Federation of Camping and Caravanning (F.I.C.C.) can provide that hospitality. This formal guarantee strongly influences the camper’s choice.

F.I.C.C.: International promotion of Camping and Caravanning

Protecting the interests of campers and caravanners at international level, the F.I.C.C. constantly promotes this growing form of tourism. It helps affiliated Federations and Clubs as well as campers who hold the International Camping Card issued by the F.I.C.C.: International classification of campsites, I.S.O. and C.E.N. standardization of equipment, hygiene and safety, finding solutions to problems and putting them into practice, making campers aware of environmental protection and the need to respect cultural heritage are ongoing concerns of the F.I.C.C.

F.I.C.C.: a stable force

When it was founded in 1933, the F.I.C.C. comprised 16 Clubs from 7 countries. Today it numbers 77 Federations and Clubs from 39 countries: a unique force which, through its technical Committees, represents protects and promotes camping at national and international level.
Members lobby each Commission – which experts from any Camping Federation or Club are entitled to join – to make their wishes known. These points are then raised at the F.I.C.C. General Assembly during the annual International Rally to which all members are invited.

The international Rallies: time for action

In conjunction with the fun and friendship inspired by international events, the F.I.C.C. rallies are unique opportunities to develop strategies which favour camping and caravanning throughout the world. So that from Great Britain to Japan, Sweden to North and South America, Israel to Portugal, the discussions soon become constructive: present or not, each member of the F.I.C.C. has the opportunity to defend his interests at the highest level.
