Relaxation - a step-by-step method, to be carried out daily if possible:
- Set aside 10 minutes
- Breathe in deeply and shut your eyes
- Focus on your inner self and how you are feeling
- Give your body the “once over“ in your mind: where do you feel tense, where relaxed?
- Clear your mind: meditation should not control your head
- Clear your mind: it is less about “doing“ and more about “not doing“
- Focus on breathing in and out
- Resist any distracting thoughts
- Return slowly to the present
- Keep this feeling of well-being with you in the everyday world.
