Unio Caravanista de Catalunya
This year UCC is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
It was founded by Emilio Freixa Boada and 13 kindred spirits in Esponellà (Girona) and was originally known as the Caravaning Club de Barcelona. For many years now the club has been headed up by its dynamic President, Mrs. Carme Capdet.
UCC has hosted two extremely successful and friendly international F.I.C.C. rallies, the first in 1982 (Vilopriu) and the second in 2003 (Montmelo) which participants still remember with great enthusiasm.
After a period of growth and success, UCC is finding itself confronted with the same financial problems that have afflicted many camping clubs since the onset of the economic crisis.
But the club is battling “against the wind and the waves“ to keep its ground and maintain the important place that it deserves in the world of camping. Congratulations!
