The Present and the Future on discussion at the Board of Directors Meeting

The Board of Directors met recently in order to debate and analyze the present moment and the future of FICC. During two days, more precisely on 28th and 29th November, 2009, all FICC Members got together with the objective of reviewing several issues regarding the Federation life pathway, thanks to a very complete and suitable agenda, which did not neglect or underestimate any relevant subject. As a matter of fact, it actually meant the result of two intense working days in Brussels, the chosen scene for this debate to take place, which ended up with the awaited approval of several vital resolutions concerning the Federation sustainable development.

Following the referred meeting and subsequent happenings and final conclusions, it is fair to enhance the fact that the Member of the Board of Directors – Mr. Martin Healey, elected by Canada, has effectively been replaced by Mrs. Louise Saindon, also from Canada and, presently, being the President of FQCC. In this context, Mr. Martin Healey was awarded with the prestigious FICC gold medal, for his rendered services, contributions and heartfelt dedication to the Federation.

Another important highlighted result from the meeting was the approval and admittance of a new FICC member country – i.e. Romenia, through its Club, Asociatia CLUBRV-RO.

The mentioned meeting was also very profitable and beneficial, regarding the open debate over matters such as the changes involving the organization statutes, as well as the likely future of the International Camping License. There was also the time and chance to study and analyze actual undergoing projects for the year 2010.
