Poland is an interesting country that took the plunge in the 21st century and became a member of the EU.
Poland is a country of religious tolerance, is pacifist and most Poles consider themselves to be citizens of the world.
The Polish lake district with its unspoilt scenery, clean air, flora and fauna is ideal for rest and recreation.
Poland has many castles and palaces some of which house real art treasures. There are many sights worth seeing in the big cities too including many UNESCO heritage sites. Worthy of mention too are the salt mines in Wieliczka, the royal palace in Warsaw, the Jesuit monastery in Swieta Lipka in Masuria, the old baroque basilica in Bardo (Lower Silesia), the beautiful city of Krakow, a true world heritage gem, and the Free Port of Gdansk, as old as the country itself, is the gateway to the Baltic and beyond. The Amber Coast, Masuria, land of a thousand lakes, and Zakopane in the Tatra mountains are also gems worth discovering on the tourist trail.
The International F.I.C.C. Rally in 2013 is offering F.I.C.C. members the chance to get to know this beautiful country better.
